Children are ALWAYS welcome at Christ Church.
At the 10am service the 'Children in Christ Church' activities vary.
First Sunday:- is as the title suggests, on the first Sunday of the month. This is specially aimed to be a short
family service to include the children. Sometimes it may include a child baptism with visiting families.
During the service at the back of the church there will be craft activities organised especially for younger children.
Also creche toys available.
Second Sunday :- This is a communion service and there will be NO organised children's activities but colouring sheets and creche toys are available at the back. Please ask a sides person if not on display.
This is because we would love you to all come to 3.08 at Kingshill School, Pound Lane starting at 3.08pm for a 45mins of fun and worship for all ages. Great fun with stories, songs and craft. Finishing with cake and drinks.
Third Sunday :- is Morning Worship and craft activities will take place at the back of the church part way through the service with children going back to sit with you for the prayers and last song. Could also be a Baptism.
Fourth and Fifth Sundays:-Communion services but Primary aged children can go out with youth leaders to the hall for their own time of learning and come back in later to join you for the actual communion
For our very young, there is always something to do at the back of Christ Church.
There are puzzles, toys and colouring and children are free to take part with or without
mum or dad, during the service.
Teenagers at Christ Church take their part in the serives in church. They also have their own evening meetings known as the 13+ group.
These are usually held on the first and third Sunday of the month, 7.45pm - 9.15pm at someone's home.
Over the past year they have enjoyed B.B.Q's, pizza and craft nights, games and film evenings
as well as having guest speakers. Food is a must each time with drinks and nibbles available.
Teenage friends are always welcome and it's a great way to relax and
chat with other young people.

Activities for youngsters during the 10.30 church service Kids' Kingdom takes place during the 10.30am Sunday services at Tickenham. School age children (and preschool children accompanied by an adult) start the service in church and then move into a side room to explore the themes of the service in ways appropriate to their age. This usually involves a Bible story followed by relevant games, craft, music, drama and sometimes preparation for a bigger contribution to the service in church. The children return just before the end of the service and often show their work to everyone. On Communion Sundays the children either return in time to share the Peace or for a blessing. Usually, the second Sunday in each month is an all-age service at 10.30am which parents are invited to attend with their families. Our Junior Choir performs during these services and sometimes children and young people do readings and prayers. In the run up to special events in the Church calendar, we often run special Art and Craft afternoons in the Church. Most of the Kids' Kingdom children come along and we also issue a general invitation to the children of Tickenham Church of England Primary School.
